Jeff opens with the announcement that the Love Is Proud anthology, which benefits Equality Florida’s fund for the victims and their families of the Pulse nightclub shooting, is now out. In addition, he gives some updates on his writing week.

In podcast news, the show is now distributed on iHeartRadio’s podcast network. Listeners are also encouraged to like the show on Facebook where we’ve been experimenting with Facebook Live and Will posts pictures of hot guys reading.

Jeff is participating in Cycle for the Cause: The Northeast AIDS Ride for the sixth year. Proceeds benefit HIV/AIDS Services at the LGBT Center in NYC.

Jeff and Will interviewed Joanna Penn earlier in the week about her non-fiction books for authors. Joanna’s interview will air August 8 and 15. It’s loaded with great information for authors and is a peek inside the author business that readers should also find interesting.

Wade Kelly appears on the show as part of the 2016 GRL Blog Tour. She talks about her new book, Back Off! That’s My Jock, which comes out August 26. She’s also got a giveaway as part of her blog tour for the book.

The guys talk about summertime TV (Dead of Summer and the Looking finale movie) and review books from M.J. O’Shea, Christian Baines and Ava Drake. They’ve also got the first calendars for 2017… and they’re hot!

The Reebok CrossFit Games are coming this week (July 19-24) in Carson, California and we talk of our love of the competition and our CrossFit crush on Mat Fraser. Plus we point listeners to the documentary about last year’s games, Fittest On Earth, which is currently streaming on Netflix.

J. Scott Coatsworth is here as part of the GRL Blog Tour. He talks about his latest short story, which is part of the A More Perfect Union anthology, as well as his work in the Queer Sci-Fi community.

Daniel Schloss & Charlie Sohne join us to talk about their award winning comedy pilot, Truth Slash Fiction. They discuss the origin of the show, what the process has been like to shoot and shop the show at festivals and where they hope it goes in the future.

Happy 4th of July to our U.S.-based audience. Jeff gets the show going with news of contracts he’s signed over the past week–one for the novella Love’s Opening Night and the other for the short Hat Trick: Be True, Be Proud, Be Strong, which will appears in the JMS Books charity anthology Love Is Proud. Jeff also calls out some other Orlando tribute projects: an Extasy Books anthology, Broadway for Orlando’s “What the World Needs Now” recording as well as two dance pieces.

The guys talk about their weekend in Ashland, OR, where the saw a performance of The Wiz. Will celebrates the Valley of the Dolls 50th anniversary, which features a new edition hardback as well as Blu-Ray releases. In books, Jeff reviews A.J. Truman’s Out on a Limb while Will’s got What’s in a Name from Pat Henshaw. They also make note of an event coming up at the Ripped Bodice in Culver City, CA that features Christopher Rice, Damon Suede and Eric Shaw Quinn.

Tammy Middleton, who writes as T.M. Smith, stops by as part of the Official 2016 GRL Blog Tour. She talks about the new book in her All Cocks series, Live For Love. She’s also got a giveaway going on and listeners can find the Rafflecopter for that below.

Talking about TV, Jeff and Will mention that Netflix now has Eastsiders, Truth Slash Fiction won big at SeriesFest and that they’re loving UnReal and Wrecked. Superhero porn parodies are also discussed, specifically that Men.com is on its way to giving Captain America a boyfriend.
