It’s been nearly a year since I submitted “The Adventures of Jake #1” for the Nerdvana anthology (edited by Fred Towers, from STARbooks, ISBN: 1934187577, list price: $17.95) and about five months since I found out the story was accepted. Yesterday I saw the book cover for the first time as it popped up on Amazon. The book is now available for pre-sale and is due to hit later this year (Amazon says November, a couple other sources say December 10).
Need less to say, I’m very excited. As I said back in March, this is the first story I’ve sold for cash, so to see it really coming to fruition is very exciting.
The story, and the anthology as a whole, is in that NSFW category, so keep that in mind if you’re thinking about picking it up. As for me, I’m looking forward to seeing what other stories are included.
Wheee! Congrats!
Now your first promotional lesson as an author: even though you’ve got a link to the book, always be sure in include: Title , author (or in this case, the editor’s name as that’s what it’ll be filed under), publisher, ISBN, price, and release date (which I realize you also did but putting them all together in one, easy to read area is helpful for those interested in tracking the book down).
Yeah! Thanks for posting this, Jeff! I will be blogging about it this week for sure. I’ve been waiting forever, or so it seems, for the news. My story, Exposed, is in this anthology also. w00t!
