I recommend that everyone check out a recent episode of The Rebel Author Podcast where Sacha Black talked with Libbie Hawker about outlining. Romancing the Beat (Story Structure Part 1) – Big Gay Author Podcast episode 47

Big news! Jeff reveals the details of the anthology project he’s been alluding to over the past few weeks.

In the first of a four part series, I dive into a discussion on story structure, specifically The Set Up phase as described in Gwen Hayes’s Romancing the Beat. After reviewing the elements of that phase, we talk about it in action through a couple of examples and Jeff talks about the Set Up he’s working on for his Christmas story.

Hey Look, Ma! I Talked With Joanna Penn!

Well, I can now cross that off my bucket list.

Jeff and I had the distinct pleasure of hanging out with Joanna Penn at last years Podcast Movement event. That was a big deal in and of itself. But we were recently interviewed by Joanna for an episode of the Creative Penn Podcast, her excellent, long-running show that focuses on the business side of publishing. We talked about releasing a book during a pandemic, writing as a couple, the business of the romance genre, and lots more. It was a lot of fun. You can listen for yourself right here.
