Those were the very first Canadian words spoken to us as we crossed the border last night. “Bonjourhello” is what a lot of French-Canadians say if they are trying to figure out which language you want/need to use.
It was a long trip yesterday, mostly because waiting in line at the border took about 2 hours. Also drama once we got to the city because the instructions on how to get to the hotel were not the clearest, plus it was getting dark and all the signs were in French. Oh well, this is bound to get better over the next couple days as we get used to things.
Had some great pizza last night though at a place near the hotel, so it was a good way to end a long day of travel.
We’re off to get our credentials and explore now!
