This advertisement greeted me on the subway platform this morning. I’m already excited for Spider-Man 3, opening May 4 at a theater near you. In celebration there’s a week of activities in NYC. Some of the events are creepy (an exhibit of live spiders at the Natural History Museum), some are cool (a Gray Line bus tour of Spider-Man movie locations around the city … swinging with your sweet heart at Trapeze School of New York), some are expected (Spider-Man screenings at the Tribeca Film Festival and of course the world premiere of the new movie) and some are just odd (potting baby spider plants at the New York Botanical Garden… pizza served in over 200 public middle schools in honor of Peter Parker’s shortlived job as a pizza deliver boy ).
