In what is hopefully a good omen for the Tigers’ season, we opened with a 2-1 win against the Sled Dogs. We were short handed with 8 players, 5 forwards and 3 D. I had a blast playing D with Dave and Nicky and we held up great against the Dogs. Laurie got to captain tonight, which was awesome. She had great leadership, and she picked up an assist on a goal that Allison got. New Tigers player Al also scored, good job in his first outing, and I picked up the assist. It was a well played game all around with some good puck movement and control.
I enjoyed my game a lot. I got to take some time to make choices, which I like. Some of them were bad choices, but at least I got to take a second to think. And my plus/minus was good since I wasn’t on the ice for the goal.
GO TIGERS!
