We’ve often marveled at the way NY1’s Donna Karger reads the theater news on NY1’s weekly On Stage program. She’s constructs some really odd sentences and delivers them in a cadence that you don’t often find on TV news.
This morning she offered one of her funniest deliveries yet.
During a story on the new sound system that was installed this past week at the Majestic Theatre for The Phantom of the Opera, Karger said that they had no footage of the show using the new system.
Huh?
Even if NY1 was in HD and 7.1 sound, they could never replicate, for the home audience, a sound system that uses 155 speakers.
What exactly was she hoping to show? Talk about making no sense?
