Here’s a weird blast out of music videos past that I have always loved. In 1983 Yes released a comeback album titled 90125. The big hit on that album was “Owner of a Lonely Heart.” But the song that got my attention was “Leave It,” a mostly a capella ditty that a a few variations of the video. I don’t know why I was so attracted to this, but now 25 years later I still listen to this track routinely. It’s a very snappy song that maintains a good beat with some just plain wacky lyrics. Give a listen and see what you think.
The video is a perfect example of cheap effects in 80s videos too. I remember seeing a few of the different variations too. Each was subtlety different, but just as odd as this one. I mean folding people, really? Weird 80s fun!
