It’s been five weeks since Braking the Cycle and this week there was a reunion party to allow everyone a chance to get together, hear updates about the fundraising for 2011, get some previews on 2012 and see the video Black Watch Productions put together for this year’s ride.
The most exciting announcement was that, with all the accounting done, The Center received $460,165 from Braking the Cycle 2011. That’s an incredible amount of money, and helps fill a gap left form New York State budget cuts. It’s very satisfying to know through our collective efforts, The Center will continue to provide it’s critical HIV/AIDS services.
Here’s this year’s video. It paints a great picture of the three days and for all my donors and supporters it will give you a good idea of what the ride is like (look sharp, you can see me zooming along at 11:05).
Next year Braking the Cycle turns 10. The goal is to exceed this year’s amazing fund raising total and make at least a half million dollars for the 10th year. I hope you’ll help me accomplish that.
