So much great stuff has happened since Hat Trick was released. I’m thrilled with how the book has been received and the feedback I continue to get from readers.
This past week I found out Hat Trick was the #1 best seller for both Queerteen Press and JMS Books in the fourth quarter of 2013 (Queerteen is the YA imprint of JMS, so the book is available on both sites). I knew the book’s Q4 sales figures before the lists came out, but I had no idea it would land at #1. I was hoping to just be included in the top 10.
The great thing about such robust sales is it means I’ll be making a good-sized donation to the You Can Play Project within the next week since one dollar from each book sold is donated to YCP.
There are some great books in both top 10 lists, so I want to share the full lists. If you haven’t checked out Hat Trick yet, I hope you will… plus you should give a look at the rest of Q4s top sellers.

Meanwhile, if you haven’t grabbed your free ebook copy of Hat Trick Overtime: A Classic Winter’s Night, you should. It is a quick read that gives a glimpse of Simon and Alex in their freshman year at Michigan.
I’ve spent the past couple months working on Hat Trick 2: Playing the Rebound and I expect it to be off to beta readers within the next couple weeks. I’m in the middle of an edit-focused weekend right now to get it ready for them. While they’re reviewing the manuscript, I’ll be working to put together some Hat Trick swag to take to Rainbow Con, coming up in April in Tampa.
