I’m continuing the parade of Merrick covers with An Idol For Others. The Avon paperback on the left is from 1977 and the reprint on the right came 20 years later in the late 90’s. I confess that I haven’t read this particular tome, but judging from the the booty on each cover, I find my interest piqued 🙂 I might need to move this to the top of my TBR.
Paperback Covers
Paperback Cover of the Week: Forth Into Light
Paperback Cover of the Week: One For the Gods
Paperback Cover of the Week: The Lord Won’t Mind
I’m trying something new with my ‘Covers of the Week’ posts. I’ll be featuring several of the old paperbacks that sit on my actual bookshelves. Although I’ve featured the (completely awesome) cover of this book before, today I’m showing off the two different editions I have of Gordon Merrick’s classic, The Lord Won’t Mind. On the left is the mid 90’s reprint from Alyson Books (my ‘reading’ copy) and on the right is the early 70’s Avon paperback. Avon released nearly all of Merrick’s books in paperback around this time and they all have beautifully illustrated covers, most of which I’m lucky enough to own and will be featuring in the coming weeks.
