Regular readers know I’ll watch almost anything that contains the words “the musical” in the title. So, when Will flipped over to Sundance Channel last night for something called Colma: The Musical, I was immediately intrigued.
This was a great movie! Great coming-of-age story and great tunes (in particular I liked the “Happy Place” song, which you get just a bit of in the trailer). You can learn more about his movie at colmafilm.com and you can find it on Sundance on Wednesday, September 24 at 5:15pm (ET). You can also pick it up on Netflix. Now if only its soundtrack was on iTunes…
Colma is a great little movie! I grew up in Daly City (and moved back here), where a lot of it was filmed. You can even see my house in one of the shots. :)
I loved this movie! Wonderful performances from the talented young cast, and the songs are quite fun and catchy.
