I don’t have a good grasp on the current music scene. Every now and then though something catches my ear and I become obsessed with it. Such is the case of “Bang Bang” by Jessie J, Ariana Grande and Nicki Minaj.
The first time I heard this was in the opening of So You Think You Can Dance on August 6 when the top 10 did a group number to it. The dance, a colorful burst of energy, was great and the song was infectious between the beat and the fierce vocals.
By the weekend, I’d put the track on iTunes. I’ve also become a fan of the video, which is fun and has some pretty good eye candy too.
Today, thanks to Towleroad, I’ve found a trio of guys (Sam Tsui, Max and Kurt Schneider) doing an awesome cover, which I’ve also downloaded from iTunes.
How long will this obsession go on? Hard to say, but right now I’m enjoying this song a lot and wish I had some sense of rhythm because it seems like it’d be a lot of fun to dance to.
I just found your site and enjoy it.
Congrats on your marriage the best of luck in all of your life
I met my husband in 1973 we married in a Methodist Church in Wilks-Barra Penna in 1975 by a gay minister and his husband.
Unfortunately he dies in 2007 otherwise we would still be together
I find the ability to be married as straight folk can to be a real step in our gaining the civil rights all folk are entitled to
At 63 I am seeing the world change when I came out we had to fight our way out of gay bars unless they were in NYC even then there were incidents.
Reading your material makes me very happy and hopeful that the human race can grow up.
May you have a long full loving life
Dennis
