It’s winter time in a lot of places. There’s been snow in NYC this week. Even down south in Alabama and Texas it’s been colder than usual.
So, why not kick back and read about summer camp? For the first time in the Hat Trick series, Simon & Alex take a summer trip in Hat Trick Overtime: Summer Camp. This last short story installment in the series is available now from JMS Books or available for pre-order on Amazon, where it will become available on January 18.
To celebrate the release, I’m also offering the chance to win a free ebook to one lucky commenter who says what their favorite summertime activity is. The winner will have the choice of either Hat Trick Overtime: Summer Camp or, for those new to the series, the original Hat Trick.

Simon and Alex, now between their junior and senior years at the University of Michigan, decide to put their jobs on hold for a month and take the opportunity to coach hockey at a summer camp for teenagers.
They have a cabin full of good players to work with and the focus is getting them ready to win the camp championship. One camper, sixteen-year-old Dylan, requests extra help because he needs to get a scholarship and the guys make it their mission to help him succeed.
With their best friend Leo along for the trip, Simon and Alex are set up for a great time at camp, until another coach tries to seduce them. How they respond to the unwanted advances, while balancing commitments to their campers, will put them both — and their relationship — to the test.

Well during the summer, I spend a lot of time in my car traveling to different county fairgrounds in Illinois and Indiana…shooting photos of contestants in Rodeos. It’s a sweaty job but someone has to do it. Lol.
I would imagine some of those contestants are pretty hot to look at too (yes, I do have cowboy fantasies!)
My favorite summertime activity would probably be playing golf. I love the outdoors and playing all the different public golf courses in my state has allowed me to see so many beautiful places, and meet some nice people as well. (As well as some not so nice people 🙂 )
I hope the number of nice people far outweighs the not-so-nice.
Easiest question: as a teacher, my favorite summertime activity is NOT WORKING. 🙂
I hope you do some fun stuff, in addition to relaxing, while your not working!
Favorite summer time activity is having cookouts with family. Nothing like having everyone get together, fire up the grill. Everyone brings something. Adults talk, kids play and if we’re lucky my sisters pool is open. Great way to spend the summer
That sounds wonderful!
My favorite summertime activity is going to the beach for the day. It’s always fun.
Hmmmm….beach, yes. Always a good choice! As long as there’s no sunburn involved.
My favorite summertime activity is reading while floating around in the pool. Thanks!
Perfect! Just don’t let the book (or eReader) get wet.
My favorite summer activity is a super early morning run, started just before sunrise, so that I’m able to watch the colors of the sky change. As I run the roads on the outskirts of town, I can sometimes catching a coyote out hunting or a red tail hawk watching for juicy bunnies (theirs words, not mine). Now I found a new author to read. Thanks!
Glad to be discovered, J! I hope you like what you read.
Early morning, outside exercising is awesome. I love it when I can be out on a long bike ride in the early mornings, watching everything come to life for the day.
It will probably sound crazy, but my favorite summer activity is watching my boys play summer hockey. Free air conditioning!!! It is an all year sport in my house and I love it.
I hear ya! When I was in NYC and playing, I loved summer league because it was a reason to be in the super cold rink for a few hours.
Congratulations, J Plaisance! You’re the winner. I’ll be in touch to get you your free ebook.
